Spencer W. (IN A NUTSHELL)
Spencer is a student from London, UK, at Brown University studying Business & Entrepreneurship with a focus on Biotech/Biochemistry Management. Having founded and worked within a variety of tech startups, he has a strong passion for innovation and a keen eye for business. At Brown, Spencer is the co-founder of the university’s new Startup Accelerator organisation, in which he facilitates the formation of startup teams across the campus and leads a program to help develop the young organisations. His ability in this field has come from his long involvement with Science Creates Incubators, a leading biotech and sciences incubator in the UK. He is currently working in a data analytics role for Hearby, a music technology startup, and as an innovation analyst at The Nature Conservancy.
Alongside his studies, he is an avid musician, songwriter and music teacher. As well as writing and performing his own music in concert venues, he frequently works with up-and-coming artists co-writing songs and creating the musical arrangements for both performances and recordings. With this passion, he founded the Brown University songwriting society, where he helps students to develop their skills as songwriters and artists. Alongside this, he loves to play soccer in his free time, having played on the ISFA National Youth team in London and currently plays with the Brown Men’s Club Soccer team.
Spencer is an energetic and motivated teacher and is very excited to be able to teach entrepreneurship, music, math, biology, and chemistry at Curious Cardinals!
