PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Nicholas was born and raised in Lima, Peru and currently lives in the United States. He recently graduated from Stanford with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Public Policy. He has working experience in consulting, real estate, and tech business strategy. Some of his highlights at Stanford were participating in a variety of real estate competitions, taking some cool classes on Negotiations and Astrophysics, and studying abroad in Florence, Italy. A fluent speaker of English, Spanish, and Italian, he currently is adding French and German to the list.

Nicholas is also an experienced artist and public speaker. Over the years, he has received multiple awards and recognitions for his hyperrealist architectural artwork. In academic and professional contexts, writing and public speaking are among his greatest strengths. Currently, he is working on a historical research project which will soon turn into his first book.

Mountain biking and aviation are among some of his greatest hobbies.

Nicholas has engaged in a variety of teaching and mentorship programs, and he is excited to mentor in topics ranging from negotiations, policy, and entrepreneurship to essay writing and languages. One of his motivations to teach is to inspire students to be increasingly creative, independent thinkers.
