I’ve been a Curious Cardinals mentor since August 2021. I am passionate about mentoring students in the areas of Psychology, Literature, Philosophy, Government & Policy, Medicine & Health, French, Theater, and Global Health.

Leila O. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Leila has experience working with students of all ages and loves learning from her students even more than they love to learn from her. After growing up in Washington, DC, she completed her undergraduate degree at Stanford University, where she studied psychology, statistics, and education. She then completed a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Bryn Mawr College and is currently working as a medical scribe in the ER @ Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. Leila is an older sister, a former gymnastics coach, a researcher, a reader, and above all, a passionate student & teacher.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

Our mentorship sessions happen virtually over Zoom. It’s important to get a sense of how someone’s personality can come through on a video call. The best way to ensure your student is excited about learning is to have someone on the other side that they look forward to talking to.
