PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

In summer 2022, she lived and worked in Bulgaria as an intern at the Center for the Study of Democracy, a public policy think tank that promotes good governance and democratic values in Eastern Europe. Besides her major, she’s passionate about language and music. She speaks Russian proficiently and is a five-time gold medalist and three-time perfect scorer on the National Latin Exam. She also studied classical violin and piano at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division in her hometown New York, where she was reviewed by the New York Times and won several international competitions.
